Runners, Walkers, and Supporters Wanted for 2nd “Run or Walk for Cass”

Participants can run or walk in the Detroit Free Press/Talmer Bank marathon, half marathon, 5K or relay while supporting Cass Community Social Services on Sunday, October 20, 2013. Each participant must register and pay the race fees at www.freepmarathon.com. Then, contact Sue Pethoud if interested in Running for Cass. Those running for Cass will be mailed sponsor forms and information about our spaghetti dinner on the night before the race.

Come experience the most spectacular view of The Annual International Ford Fireworks presented by Target at Catch the Fireworks with Cass!

Catch the Fireworks with Cass will take place on Monday, June 24, 2013 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Coach Insignia restaurant located in the Renaissance Center.

$250 donation per person

Includes entertainment, dinner, open bar, reserved parking, and more.

Our Empty Bowls Auction is up and running!

Cass has been receiving bowls from celebrities across the United States and Internationally. So far, bowls have been received from Alice Cooper, Martha Reeves, Tony Hawk, Detroit Mayor Dave Bing, Kevin Spacey, Heidelberg Artist Tyree Guyton, and Gabrielle Douglas!

The auction for these bowls is open now through this Sunday, March 17th at 2:30pm. Bids can also be placed at the Empty Bowl events or Annual Dinner. If unable to attend these events, bids can be made through our auction website. Good Luck!

Sunday, Dec. 16 (1pm-5pm) – Set up gifts in store
Monday, Dec. 17 (10am-6pm*) – Gift wrappers, shopping assistance and store tear down.

Donations and volunteers are needed to support the Cass Christmas Store where we anticipate providing gifts for 250 children this Christmas!

WHO? Generally homeless men and women utilizing Cass emergency and residential programs who will shop and be provided with gifts to give their children for Christmas

WHY? Provide parents (caregivers) with choices of essentials and toys as gifts for their children for Christmas

WHEN? Set-up December 16th and the Store Opens December 17thActivity Center

TO VOLUNTEER please e-mail the Cass volunteer coordinator and indicate your preferred date and shifts and contact information (name and phone numbers
– cell preferred). Confirmation of assignment and details will be confirmed via email .
